Unapologetically Jewish Social Media Contest

Are you unapologetically Jewish with a story to share? Philadelphia Jewish Film and Media (PJFM) is looking for digital creators to make their own unapologetically Jewish content this summer for a chance to win cash prizes up to $3,000! In this social media contest, all you need is a phone, Instagram, and your creativity to share and celebrate your Judaism.

Neither prior experience in social media or content creation nor a specific amount of high or low Instagram followers is required.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Applicants must be 18 and over and a legal resident of the United States.
• Applicants must identify as Jewish.
• Applicants must publish 14-20 Instagram posts from June 4 – August 30, 2025.
• Applicants must be available IN PERSON September 10, 2025, for AND THE WINNER IS… Unapologetically Jewish Contest Finale at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History. (For more info on travel and contest expenses, see Official Contest Rules.)

SELECTION PROCESS:

• The Unapologetically Jewish Steering Committee reviews all applications and selects 8-10 finalists by May 22, 2025.

ODDS OF WINNING:

• The approximate odds of winning are based on the number of initial applicants.

ENTRY DEADLINE & SCHEDULE:

• May 12, 2025
  Entry deadline.
• May 23, 2025
  Finalists are notified.
• June 4 – August 30, 2025
  Contest period. (Finalists publish content.)
• September 10, 2025
  And the Winner Is… Unapologetically Jewish Contest Finale.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

• All content must be published on Instagram and abide by Instagram social media community guidelines.
• PJFM encourages all applicants to freely express on what makes them unapologetically Jewish. However, the organization does not promote or perpetuate content that meets the definition of antisemitism.

PRIZES:

• Social Impact Award: 1st Place ($3,000)
• Social Impact Award: 2nd Place ($2,000)
• Audience Favorite Award ($1,000)

STIPENDS:

• ALL finalists receive a $500 production stipend.
• PJFM books and pays for transportation for all finalists and necessary lodging for finalists whose home address is over 100 miles from PJFM.
• Contest winners have their content included in PJFM’s 45th Philadelphia Jewish Film and Media Festival. (November 2025)

PJFM holds the right to publish all finalists’ content to its social media.
