Summary:

This position is responsible for protecting, safeguarding, and securing assets, staff, patrons, and all visitors at Ensemble Arts Philly while under the direct supervision of a Security Supervisor or Security Manager. The officer also engages with the public, artists, staff, and guests, supporting their experiences and meeting their objectives through customer service at a high level.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, DELAWARE COUNTY YOUTH ORCHESTRAS

DCYOs seeks an energetic and self-motivated Director of Operations (DO). Reporting to the Executive Artistic Director and the Board, the DO is responsible for the overall management of the operations and logistics of the organization. This part time role averages 10-15 hours per week, with the bulk of activities during September to May and reduced hours in June to August. Most tasks can be completed  remotely with flexible scheduling. Compensation is $20-23 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This role is ideal for an early-career creative or recent graduate eager to develop leadership experience in movement direction, staging, and performance aesthetics. You'll work closely with the executive team to enhance live performances and music videos, from expressive stage presence to full choreography for select pieces. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role over time. Must be able to sing and join the group as a performing member.

Noteworthy Philadelphia is seeking an Audio Engineer (Vocal Production & Mixing) to shape the sound of our dynamic vocal ensemble. This role is ideal for an early-career audio engineer, producer, or technically skilled musician eager to develop leadership experience in vocal production, collaborative audio workflows, and music-video-driven projects. You’ll work closely with the executive team to support recorded performances and music videos, transforming multitrack vocal recordings into polished, video-ready audio. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role over time. Singers based in the Greater Philadelphia area are encouraged to audition and join the group as performing members, though neither ensemble membership nor local residence are required for this role.

The Coordinator is an hourly part-time position and works collaboratively with the Director of the Kardon Center to be a resource to Kardon Center arts therapists, for program development, and for administrative management of the program. We are seeking a Coordinator who will also work clinically as a music or visual arts therapist in the program with a focus on serving our Medicaid clients. The Coordinator reports to the Chief Academic Officer and the Kardon Center for Arts Therapy Director and works closely with all Program Staff.

We are seeking a passionate, committed Choir Teaching Artist for the upcoming school year at our Music Center located at Impact Charter School West in West Philadelphia. This person will lead choral classes while working on repertoire, strengthening aural skills, and encouraging musicianship that ultimately supports students’ progress on their instruments and orchestral growth.

The Apprenticeship Program was created in the winter of 2022 with the goal of creating a pathway for individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Teaching Artist. We provide an intensive training experience which equips young musicians with the skills and experiences needed to succeed as Teaching Artists. During your apprenticeship, you will be paired with an experienced Play On Philly Teaching Artist so you may observe classroom dynamics and successful teaching techniques in addition to trying out classroom teaching and receiving prompt feedback.
