Girls First is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, compassionate, and reliable individuals to complete a part-time 8-month Teaching Artist Apprenticeship Program over the course of the 2024-2025 school year.  We are currently searching for a DANCE Teaching Artist for the upcoming program year.

The Teaching Artist Apprenticeship Program equips teaching artists to create a learning environment that is trauma-informed and provides equitable opportunities for growth academically, artistically, and socio-emotionally in a community setting.

Specifically seeking qualified candidates in the field of dance with prior teaching experience.  If you are an individual with a background in theatre with dance experience, please do not hesitate to apply.

Apprentices will receive a $1100 monthly stipend for participation, plus paid time off.

Each year, we send artists to schools throughout the Delaware Valley for long-term, small group music instruction. The program could include: in-school student pull-outs, aiding an existing music teacher during class, or working after school with kids to hone and build music skills. Musicians of all stripes needed, but especially Brass, Woodwind, Guitar, Vocalists, and String instructors. Position Title: Operations Assistant
Reports to: Program Manager
Hours: Part-time, approximately 12 hours per week to include all day Saturdays and one weekly staff meeting on Tuesdays.
Salary: $8,000 annually; exempt; paid in equal installments on a monthly basis between September 2024 and June 2025

The inaugural Senior Director of Programs will be responsible for bringing to life the novel and progressive vision of Calder Gardens, a new institution opening on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia in fall 2025 uniting the art of Alexander Calder with nature and architecture to create an oasis that invites introspection and nurtures human connection.
