Organizational Overview:

Fairmount Park Conservancy brings parks to life. We work with the City of Philadelphia and its communities to steward our parks and nurture our shared environment, cultural resources, and public health.  We lead capital projects and historic preservation efforts, foster neighborhood park stewardship, attract and leverage investments, and develop innovative programs throughout the 10,200 acres that include Fairmount Park, six other watershed parks, and more than 130 neighborhood parks and gardens around the city.

This position is responsible for daily systems operations of the building including repairs and/or replacement of various building-related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, control systems, air handling units, and heat exchangers. Receives and responds to service calls, takes immediate action to resolve emergency situations and system breakdowns. Manages and monitors HVAC controls, emergency systems (e.g., fire, smoke, security), lighting systems, electrical, and plumbing.

This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit.

The Venue Manager’s role is to ensure that the Festival site is run smoothly and is well-maintained from setup to teardown. This is a temporary position whose primary purpose is to oversee the general operations of the Princeton Festival’s facilities before, during, and after all concerts. The Venue Manager will report to the Director of Artistic Operations and will work closely with front-of-house, security, concessions, and production staff along with Princeton Symphony Orchestra staff.

Fairmount Ventures is seeking a consultant to contribute to the success of client projects with a primary focus on strategic planning, fundraising, and leadership development. Art In Transit is in need of a part-time Art Handler effective immediately. The work includes completing art services such as transportation, packing, and crating. The Art Handler must have a clear understanding of fine art handling practices and the ability to handle a wide array of high-end household items, including, but not limited to, furniture, mirrors, rugs, etc.

ELIGIBILITY:

Reporting to the Summer Camp Supervisor, Seaport Summer Camp Counselors lead engaging hands-on activities, tours, and row, kayak, or provide dock supervision for campers ages 6-12. Camp hours are 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM with aftercare from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM. The ideal candidate has great classroom management skills, can teach children of all ages, is quick to think on their feet, and knows how to make learning fun.

The Delaware Art Museum’s Museum Educator Development Program is a 12-month placement that offers a select opportunity to develop hands-on experience and a full range of skills in museum and art education. Museum Educators (MEs) work closely with museum staff and collaborate with each other to design curricula, lead tours, and facilitate programming that aligns with DelArt’s education goals. Along with these primary responsibilities, MEs can gain added opportunities and exposure to the museum field by contributing to special projects, partnerships, and public programs in the Art & Learning Department. 

The Easement Program Coordinator is a part time position that reports to the Director of Preservation Services. The person filling this position is expected to assist in overseeing the Preservation Alliance’s portfolio of more than 250 properties with preservation easements located primarily in the Philadelphia region, and to pursue new easement opportunities as necessary. The successful candidate will be flexible, able to think strategically, and able to work with others in a collaborative and supportive yet direct manner. In addition, the successful candidate will be a dynamic, people-centered, proactive individual with strong technical and communication skills.
