The Development Intern will provide administrative support to the Development team by assisting in all aspects of FringeArts fundraising efforts. Working collaboratively across departments, they will gain a clear-eyed understanding of how an arts organization functions and fits within its community as they identify its needs and develop creative and strategic plans to address them.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry in Patron Manager
- Coordinating and following up with facility needs
- Fielding ticket and membership inquiry calls
- Processing and acknowledging contributions and sponsorships
- Assisting with prospect research
- Gathering information and generating materials for grant proposals
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Enthusiasm for relationship building
- Computer savvy
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Adaptable to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn new skills and help wherever needed
- Background in Communications, English, Theatre, and/or Nonprofit Administration preferred
- Interest in the performing arts preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms preferred
While this internship is unpaid, college credit is available depending on the intern’s college program. FringeArts will provide interns with a $200 travel stipend to be used for transportation costs.
18-20 hours per week preferred. Occasional weekend hours and evening hours may be required for events. Please note we are a dog-friendly office!
