The Associate Registrar, Art Bridges Cohort Program facilitates a collection-sharing partnership between the PMA and eight museums across Pennsylvania. Supported by a grant from Art Bridges, this loan-sharing and exhibition initiative aims to activate American Art collections, broaden audience access, and increase the capacities of participating institutions (Partners). The Associate Registrar is critical to the successful realization of the program and will seek, throughout their activities, to advance collaborative strategies that align with the project’s overarching goals.

 

At its core, the Art Bridges Cohort Program is a collaborative undertaking. The Associate Registrar works closely with the project’s Art Bridges Curatorial Coordinator as well as Partner staff, and in consultation with the PMA’s conservation, photography, art handling, framing, and mount-making teams. Together with the Curatorial Coordinator, the Associate Registrar will simultaneously serve as the PMA’s Representative and each Partner’s advocate, working with stakeholders to solve problems, manage communications, and drive the project’s realization.
