Yes! And... Collaborative Arts
A Yes! And... our Camp Directors play a very important role in making our elementary/middle school camps possible for all participants. This individual ensures that the program is carried off successfully by: communicating with parents, participants, collaborators, staff and site personnel. Reporting to the YACA Program Director, their basic duty is to manage the program and keep it in line with overall programming needs and goals, meeting the educational and logistical needs of the students in the program. The Camp Director has an assistant camp director that they collaborate with throughout the day. They will help manage a staff of between 8-10 individuals per week (a handful will be junior staff made of high school students), and up to 48 child participants per week. They are expected to collaborate with other summer staff, YACA leadership and leaders of the site community. This role is suitable for someone who highly values creativity, imagination, play, and more hands-on work with children.
We are looking for a Camp Director for 3 weeks of camp from 7/7-25, on Monday through Friday. Camp Directors work from 7:50am-5:15pm (Mondays), 8:15am-5:15pm (Tuesday-Friday)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the building and its presentation each day
Supervise staff, conducting both morning and afternoon staff meetings
Interact with and supervise campers through daily activities
Complete all tasks necessary for daily operations of the camp
Administer discipline and behavior modification when necessary
Fulfill daily administrative tasks
Be accessible and responsive by phone and email for staff, parents and site representatives
Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures of Yes! And… Collaborative Arts
Be fun, silly and positive
Help teachers manage classroom behavior
Handle one on one interactions with children
Weekly Pay: $600 as an employee**
Must be available for the following training days:
New Staff:
Wednesday, June 4th, 6-9pm
Thursday, June 5th, 6-9pm
All Staff
Wednesday, June 11th, 6-9pm
Thursday, June 12th, 6-9pm
Monday, June 16th: 10am-5pm
Tuesday, June 17th: 10am-4pm
Training Pay: $12/hr
We require a completed Pa Criminal Record, Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting by June 16th
