Purpose: The Web Manager will work to continuously improve the performance, and functionality, and optimize content on the website seamless user experience. The web manager will implement SEO strategies to increase engagement, improve search results, and increase traffic and overall conversions. This candidate will have experience in and proven results in SEO strategies; research, analytic, and tracking tools; and experience in implementing and presenting impact. The candidate will generate regular (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) reports that quantify improvements to the website to inform the leadership team and demonstrate results. The web manager will monitor for website security breaches and respond appropriately and troubleshoot and resolve issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • A BS in computer science or business or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, UX, CMS (Slate and BigTree)
  • Knowledge of WCAG requirements
  • Experience in project management software tools (Zendesk, Wrike, Basecamp)
  • Experience in SEO tools and keyword planning and implementation

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate, monitor, and implement optimization of content, images, and all elements on the website to ensure a seamless user experience.
  2. Plan and audit content on the website on a regular basis and connect with key stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, timely and relevant.
  3. Identify UX issues and resolve with input from Sr. Leadership
  4. Maintain and improve functionality of the website (WCAG requirements, broken links, load times)
  5. Using SEO best practices, implement changes throughout the website to improve and demonstrate results
  6. Implement AI tools to improve website search results and implement changes
  7. Advise content creators on best practices for SEO on web, social and digital advertising
  8. Evaluate GA tools in conjunction with Sr. Dr. of Marketing Analytics to make improvements to website experience
  9. Audit, monitor, and recommend security improvement with web vendor and implement changes.
  10. Develop short and long term plan for web maintenance and optimization
  11. Develop weekly, monthly and quarterly reports demonstrating outcomes from website improvements
  12. Manage a cohort of work-study students who assist with website improvements
  13. Seek out and take advantage of opportunities for professional development and stay attuned to the evolution of AI and website trends
  14. Other department duties as assigned.

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: 

No physical demands. Office settings.  May require extended work hours when “on deadline,” and attendance at weekend and evening events throughout the year is required.
