Sampling Production Assistant

The Sample Studio is an essential part of United Fabrics’ coordination with sales representatives and interior design clients. After our sales reps meet with clients to determine their textile needs, they work with our Sample Studio team to curate samples for their projects and library reference. The Sample Studio then sews and assembles various sampling projects and daily orders to fulfill these needs. Samples of fabric, faux leather, and genuine leather are created in a variety of sizes and presentation styles to facilitate the use and sale of our textiles. Our team is upbeat, collaborative, and dedicated. We foster an atmosphere of curiosity and educate our team in textile industry practices and trends.

Ideal candidates would be able to work both individually and collaboratively within a team on various projects.  Individuals in this position must be able to sew, possess knowledge of textiles, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Skills and Requirements:

• A sense of creativity to assist sales reps in addressing customers’ needs and to exhibit our textiles in a pleasing and engaging way.
• Experience with cutting fabric, sergers, and grommets.
• Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time. Ability to do repetitive tasks. Capable of bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Computer based skills including MS Word and MS Excel.
