West Park Cultural Center

West Park Cultural Center's Camp Ginkgo is celebrating its 23rd year as an arts and nature camp. We are currently looking to fill two open positions for Artist/Counselors specializing in Photography and Visual Art. The camp will run for four weeks, from July 7 to August 1, on the grounds of the Maguire Museum.

Before the camp begins, counselors will participate in a staff planning meeting and a parent orientation. Camp Ginkgo serves up to 30 children, with counselors responsible for designing projects and engaging campers in visual art, photography, and theater for three age groups: 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12 years old. The camp operates Monday through Friday, with staff hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Campers will arrive at 8:00 AM and leave at 3:00 PM.

Additionally, the camp includes recreation and field trips. Counselors will receive a total payment of $2,800, distributed weekly at a rate of $700. To apply, counselors must have current clearances and provide copies of the following documents: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.

Education Level:
College or Meaningful Experience working with children in photography.
