Camp Counselor PositionsWest Park Cultural Center's Camp Ginkgo is celebrating its 23rd year as an arts and nature camp. We are currently looking to fill two open positions for Artist/Counselors specializing in Photography and Visual Art. The camp will run for four weeks, from July 7 to August 1, on the grounds of the Maguire Museum. Before the camp begins, counselors will participate in a staff planning meeting and a parent orientation. Camp Ginkgo serves up to 30 children, with counselors responsible for designing projects and engaging campers in visual art, photography, and theater for three age groups: 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12 years old. The camp operates Monday through Friday, with staff hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Campers will arrive at 8:00 AM and leave at 3:00 PM. Additionally, the camp includes recreation and field trips. Counselors will receive a total payment of $2,800, distributed weekly at a rate of $700. To apply, counselors must have current clearances and provide copies of the following documents: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance. |

This fun summer learning experience takes place in a beautiful setting and serves 30 children aged 5 to 12. We are seeking experienced teaching artists specializing in photography and visual art. |
