Job Title: Project Manager, Community Assessment Studies

Reports To:  Executive Director

Art-Reach creates, advocates for and expands accessible opportunities in the arts so the full spectrum of society is served.  

 

The Program Manager collects, organizes, maintains, and reports on all types of data collected for Art-Reach’s Consulting Team. This position is grant funded through December 31, 2026. Working closely with the Consulting Team, the Program Manager compiles data focused assessments for cultural organizations based on existing U.S. Census data and community member survey results. Over the 18 – 20 months, the Program Manager will complete at least 30 community assessment studies for cultural organizations in Greater Philadelphia. In partnership with the Project Director and the Project Manager for Adapted Program Frameworks, they will develop tools and resources for efficient data collection for multiple concurrent projects.

 

Data Collection  

  • Manage the intake, visualization, and reporting of data collected on Community Assessment Studies
  • Coordinate with data collection with clients expectations to ensure on time delivery of client projects 
  • Collect data from PolicyMap, QuestionPro surveys, and various research sources to create client assessments across a broad spectrum of the arts
  • Research and report disability prevalence data across the region and how it intersects with various other data points relevant to Art-Reach
  • Prepare presentations, reports, updates, and briefs for clients in the Community Assessment Study program
  • Navigate external relationships with clients and community members
  • Stay up to date on currents trends in accessible arts engagement

 

Data Visualization and Report Building

  • Create compelling data visualizations that showcase project findings
  • Integrate findings into client reports and distribute them to clients on expected timelines
  • Preemptively compile findings on partner organizations to manage concurrent project overlap
  • Support strategic accessibility planning report as needed with regard to community data

One version of a strong candidate will have some experience with data management and data visualization. Another candidate might have experience with project management, client service, survey administration, and using digital applications. A person might not have project management experience at all but they bring a friendly, empathetic, and problem-solving approach to their work. The right candidate might be early in their career and looking to learn what they can from this role so they can take that experience on to a larger role later in their career.

 

Familiarity with data collection, and/or a willingness to learn, is going to be really helpful for anyone who enters this role. You will be well positioned for success if you bring knowledge of accessibility, cultural programming, and customer service. Art-Reach uses Neon CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, QuestionPro and PolicyMap to manage community assessment studies. What we are offering:

The annual salary for this position is $44,000. Art-Reach pays 85% of monthly health premiums and matches the first $1,000 of 403(b) savings per year for employees who opt into the employee retirement savings program. Art-Reach employees split their time between the physical office in Center City Philadelphia and at-home offices. Additionally, Art-Reach offers a $20 per month reimbursement per employee for personal internet/phone use. While the organization embraces flexibility in where we work, we also maintain two active workspaces in Center City Philadelphia that are available for daily use.

Art-Reach's core programs include four areas: large-scale collaborations, community learning initiatives, arts programming for human service agencies, and consulting. Art-Reach currently runs two large-scale collaborative programs: The Harvey and Virginia Kimmel Family Fund ACCESS program and STAMP. In community learning, Art-Reach presents low-cost workshops on cultural accessibility through its Cohort series and opens conversations about disability and its intersection with various topics through digital media productions. Art-Reach curates cultural arts programming for regional human service agencies by distributing free and low-cost tickets to theaters, museums, and historic sites, along with highly interactive, design-driven, participatory experiences for people with disabilities through its ENCORE program. Finally, Art-Reach provides full scale strategic accessibility plans, program adaptation frameworks, and community assessment studies for cultural organizations looking to increase their access initiatives.

What to expect in the process:

  • Step one: All submissions will be reviewed and the initial candidate pool will be formed. Not all submissions will make it into the candidate pool. Once the pool of candidates is established, Art-Reach will setup a brief initial conversation between candidates and a senior member of the Art-Reach team. After those conversations the candidate pool will be reduced and candidates will be notified of their status.

 

  • Step two: Remaining candidates will take part in an interview via zoom with the Chief of Staff and one other staff member. After this interview, the candidate pool will be reduced to finalists and all participants will be notified of their status.

 

  • Step three: Finalists will meet with the Executive Director and Project Director, Consulting. This can take place via zoom or in-person depending on the comfort level of everyone involved. The final candidate will be selected after this interview.

 

  • Step four: Selection and placement of the final candidate. Placement for this position is anticipated to occur by July 1, 2025 or sooner.
