Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra Tempesta di Mare has an immediate opening for an energetic part-time staff member to manage and execute a multi-faceted marketing plan and provide administrative and patron support for our concert series in Philadelphia. The position works closely with other staff to ensure efficient and effective operations with an eye towards increasing revenues and impact. Beginning in March 2025 the Coordinator of Marketing and Administration will also be an integral part in a consultancy and implementation program with arts-access organization ArtReach.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute an engaging communications and marketing plan in coordination with the executive team.
  • Create fresh and engaging content for social media platforms in collaboration with Tempesta’s executive and artistic directors to support both long-term and day-to-day projects (Canva).
  • Together with Executive Director create content for newsletters (Mailchimp).
  • Perform box office/front of house duties during performances.
  • Enter, maintain and update patron and donor data (we use PatronManager on the Salesforce platform to do this).
  • Process donation receipts and acknowledgements.
  • Process ticket and subscription sales.
  • Support Executive Director and Artistic Directors.
  • Facilitate twice-annual fundraising mailings.
  • Stock, pack and load concert front-of -house materials.
  • Maintain press list and process press releases.
  • Participate in organization-wide arts access consultancies and efforts.
  • Maintain database records (Patron Manager).
  • Assist with related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Successful candidate is a highly organized, self-motivated individual with Bachelor degree or higher, plus a minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Previous work in a nonprofit environment is preferred. Design experience, or fluency in digital content creation for social media is required.

Key abilities include effective time and project management, ability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast pace environment, attention to detail, solid written and verbal skills, exceptional interpersonal and social skills, and an overall ability to think creatively and to solve problems independently.

The Coordinator of Marketing and Administration is expected to be available for scheduled local performances on 5-7 weekends/year. Our office is a Mac environment. A high level of computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, is expected. Familiarity with Wordpress and Gutenberg Blocks and Canva are welcome. Candidate will need to become fluent in organization’s CRM datasystem, PatronManager.

Candidates should be able to lift 30lbs. Having a driver’s license is a plus.

Desired start time: Feb 1, 2025 or sooner

Part-time, paid position, 20 hours/week, extra hours during production weeks. Flexible work hours. Equivalent of two weeks paid vacation, plus holidays. Other benefits: monthly health-care reimbursement stipend. Our office is in the Bella Vista neighborhood in Philadelphia.

Education Level:
