IT Operations Manager

The IT Operations Manager works closely with Mural Arts’ 3rd party IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Mural Arts staff. The IT Operations Manager provides oversight and hands-on management for MSP support and as a project manager for IT projects and initiatives. 

This position reports to both the Senior Director of Finance and the Senior Director of Communications and Brand Management. This position is a part-time, temporary position for one (1) year. 

 

A signature project in the first year of this position will be the launch of Mural Arts’ flagship website: muralarts.org. This work will involve liaising between the web development team, staff, and stakeholders. It will collect and deliver content and manage vendors, budgets, and subscriptions related to this project. Additional projects will be added as capacity allows and familiarity with Mural Arts IT infrastructure matures. 

 

The position requires no specialized IT training but seeks candidates with a strong generalist skill set and fluency in enterprise-level IT management. Candidates with proven information technology and project management skills are ideal for this role. Duties will include:

 

Act as both virtual and physical liaison between IT support and Mural Arts staff 

Assist the archival team in the migration and management of legacy system data

Co-administrative support of Google Workspace account and services

Co-administrative support for Mural Arts software from Adobe Creative Cloud to Zoom

Coordination of or direct support for office A/V equipment, Printer maintenance requests, phone system mapping  

Forecast IT needs and work with the Senior Director of Finance to ensure staff have the necessary equipment to accomplish their jobs.

Work with the Director of Finance and MSP to create and accomplish monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term IT goals.

Staff technology onboarding and offboarding

Management of hosting plans, domain registration and renewals, developer access/permissions for Mural Arts-owned websites

Point of contact for website support and administration

Serve as a backup system administrator for our Salesforce environment in collaboration with the Manager of Development Operations

Act as co-system administrator for our various software, including but not limited to BoardEffect, WealthEngine, Apricot, Campaign Monitor, Sage Intacct, GiveSmart, Smartsheets, Airtable

Software license management

 

Qualifications

 

Familiarity with a variety of mobile and desktop operating systems, including Windows, Windows Server, MAC OS, Android, and IOS

Project Management experience 

Demonstrated experience in creative problem-solving and advanced technical troubleshooting 

Ability to synthesize and communicate technical information to a range of audiences at all levels of technical expertise

Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with vendors and external stakeholders

Ability to successfully manage a variety of competing priorities

Experience with scripting languages a plus

Experience in the nonprofit and/or Arts & Culture a plus

 

Other Position Details

 

This is a temporary part-time position, 20 hours per week, at an hourly rate of $40. This role is hybrid, with an expectation to be physically present in Mural Arts Philadelphia's offices, studio, and hub spaces as needed to perform hands-on tasks.
