The Box Office Associate is responsible for assisting in managing the FringeArts Box Office and staffing Box Office at FringeArts curated performances. This person reports directly to the Client Services Manager and works closely with our Marketing and Development Departments. The Box Office Associate’s duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Marketing and Programming staff to become familiar with Festival shows
  • Learn all B.O. policies and procedures (i.e., refunds, exchanges, managing venue capacities, holds/comps, taking tickets off sale)
  • Field web, walk up and phone sales 
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries
  • Respond to Artist requests for daily sales reports and door lists
  • Create membership cards and mail/issue to members when purchased
  • Work closely with Festival Marketing, Programming, and Development regarding matters including, but not limited to:  added discounts, programming changes, and VIP press tickets.
  • Qualify ticket orders daily
  • Assist with post show reports 
  • Manage check in, waitlist, and walk up sales before performances at various venues throughout the city 
  • Track the cash bank before, during and after performances 
  • Be available to answer for consultation for post-festival questions/concerns by regarding reports, reconciliations, customer or artist inquiries or complaints

 

The Box Office Associate is a part-time, hourly position. Hours are primarily evening and weekend with occasional weekday shifts.  The Box Office Associate reports directly to the Box Office Manager and Client Services Manager.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and good judgment

Preferred:

  • Previous FOH experience
  • A passion for the performing arts
  • Ability to process ticketing transactions using Patron Manager software
