Job Description and Responsibilities
The Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting a sustainable and thriving economy in the Borough of Lansdowne through strategic community and economic development initiatives. The LEDC enhances the historic and vibrant walkable community by engaging the public through art, supporting and empowering local creative entrepreneurs, and growing a healthy community.
A focus of the LEDC’s work is through its Art Committee, a volunteer committee of community artists, curators, art administrators, and creatives. The Arts Coordinator will be the chief administrator of the LEDC’s Art Committee’s program, including, but not limited to, year-round exhibition planning at the 20*20 House Gallery, free arts-based community event planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
Exhibition Planning and Execution:
Act as the liaison between the LEDC and artists, creatives, or external curators.
Assist in recruiting talent based on the feedback and desires of the committee and communities.
Oversee exhibition planning from the call for entries through installation.
Design exhibition collateral and assets using Adobe programs
Execute and collect metric tracking, helping to synthesize results.
Event Coordination:
Work with the larger LEDC team to organize and coordinate events such as classes, workshops, and community events related to the exhibitions.
Work with the larger LEDC team to collaborate with outside artists to schedule and manage classes.
Work with the larger LEDC team to coordinate arts events, including Arts on the Avenue, A Bit of the Arts, and Juneteenth celebrations.
Serve as the staff lead for public art projects, adhering to the LEDC’s Art Committee’s guidelines.
Committee Management:
Make agendas, schedule meetings, and update minutes.
Maintain communication with current committee members and regular volunteers to distribute information and strengthen the community.
Consistently recruit new committee members.
Marketing and Outreach:
Assist with content creation for marketing materials and social media.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new artists and creatives.
Maintain records on members, classes, and events.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years coordinating spaces and/or events.
Proven ability to work remotely and independently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Experience with 3D printing and laser cutting is preferred.
A background in the arts or arts administration is required.
Skills:
Honesty, reliability, and drive.
Attention to details and the ability to keep detailed records.
Ability to perform basic installations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in using software and platforms such as Airtable, Adobe Suite, Square, Constant Contact, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Sign, Excel, and various social media platforms.

This is a part-time contracted position (16 hours per week, including noon- 4 pm on Sundays).
Work hours are required noon - 4 on Sundays and otherwise flexible Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The ideal start date is early July 2025.
