Purpose:  This full-time senior graphic designer position provides creative digital and print solutions for Admissions, Advancement, Student and Academic Affairs and the Gallery and is the steward of the College’s brand standards.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in graphic design
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related graphic design and website experience.
  • Create and execute original design concepts for websites, print materials and social media channels and/or update edits on existing designs
  • Manage design workflows to deliver projects on time and on budget with a focus on using project management tools such as Wrike while working with vendors with proactive communications
  • Manage digital asset tool to catalog and manage inventory of images
  • Attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing deadlines
  • Oversee brand design guidelines for the College and partner with vendors, and colleagues to follow the brand guidelines
  • Design within the parameters of the College’s brand guidelines
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, AfterEffects and industry-standard design apps and HTML experience
  • Experience reviewing and editing proofs.
  • Understanding of social media and related needs/assets for Meta, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to think creatively and collaborate with the Marketing/Communications team working with personnel throughout the College.
  • Ensure a smooth process among printers, agency partners, internal College stakeholders and marketing/communications.
  • Oversee graphic designer student workers to mentor and guide their work and provide recommendations for design improvements and techniques
  • Keeping informed of latest trends and forecasts

Responsibilities:

  1. Design creative concepts and manage projects through the design process from development editing, vendor selection, production and completion of College print and digital projects.  
  2. Assist with proofing process and proof work for print and design specifications and consistencies. Remain up-to-date on and follow College Brand Guidelines and Editorial Standards.
  3. Keep track of production timelines and report to Vice President of Marketing & Communications on status of deliverables.
  4. Communicate with in-house clients to establish and maintain goals, and delivery timeframes.
  5. Create assets for social media, advertising and other print and/or digital campaigns.
  6. Supervise graphic design student workers on projects providing feedback and mentorship on their work.
  7. Stay up-to-date with latest technology and industry trends.
  8. Maintain organized file system and file backups on Moore shared drives
  9. Attend meetings with colleagues throughout the College to support their strategic design requests
  10. Other department duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

No physical demands. Office settings.  May require extended work hours when “on deadline” and weekend participation in major events as needed
