Development Associate
Stenton, NSCDA/PA
The National Society of The Colonial Dames of Pennsylvania, an organization of women dedicated to historic preservation, education, and service, seeks a Development Associate to support its fundraising activities. The NSCDA/PA has stewarded Stenton, a National Historic Landmark in Philadelphia, for more than 125 years. The Development Associate will support and execute annual development operations and a capital campaign for Stenton. With strategic input provided by consultants, the NSCDA/PA Development Committee, and the Executive Director, the associate will conduct research, identify targets, write memos and speaking points, draft formal materials, maintain outreach calendars, and closely support campaign fundraising efforts through the development and submission of grants. The Associate will also provide administrative support for the various cultivation events and meetings planned throughout the campaign.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate development and campaign management experience, including donor identification and research, major gifts, planned gifts, board development and relations, grants, and special events. Must have knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and donor database management. Candidates will ideally possess a bachelor's degree, be detail oriented, and have the ability to function diplomatically and cheerfully in a multi-task environment. Superior organizational skills and excellent written and oral communication are essential.

This is a permanent full-time position, app. 37 hours per week. Salary: $60,000 + benefits package, including retirement and health care plans.
