The Philadelphia International Music Festival (PIMF) is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and energetic Assistant Programs Director to help oversee the day-to-day logistics and operations of our summer music programs in Wayne, PA.
This position serves as a central operational support role for the festival, helping manage schedules, student logistics, program coordination, transportation logistics, performances, and daily administrative needs in a fast-paced residential arts environment.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly independent, people-oriented, and able to solve problems quickly while maintaining a positive and professional presence with students, faculty, and families.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with day-to-day festival operations
- Coordinating student and program logistics
- Supporting concerts, rehearsals, chamber music, and studio activities
- Transportation and scheduling coordination
- Administrative and organizational support
- Maintaining an active and visible presence throughout campus
- Other administrative and logistical activities and projects as assigned
Schedule
- Primarily remote with substantial part-time hours prior to festival sessions
- Full-time, in-person in Wayne, PA:
- June 18 – July 4
- July 16 – August 1
- Remote administrative work between festival sessions
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a high-energy environment
- Experience in arts administration, music education, festivals, camps, or event operations preferred
- Familiarity with music programs or performing arts environments strongly preferred
