Job Title: Assistant Company Manager

Location: Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope, PA

Reports To: Company Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $46,000+

Job Overview:

The Assistant Company Manager is a full-time position reporting to the Company Manager. The Assistant Company Manager will serve as a liaison in attending to all logistical needs and requirements of cast, crew and creatives. They will also represent Company Management at performances which will include evenings and weekends.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative and Operational Duties

  • Assist with weekly artist payroll and union benefits (AEA, SDC, USA, Non-Union, Musicians) via ADP.
  • Update the company calendar with staff meetings, special events, education events as they relate to production, meet-and-greets, and office closures as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination and submission of Workman’s Compensation forms via ADP Payroll for Company Members. 
  • Will carry out the creation, organization, and distribution of company contracts, additional riders, forms, and notices. 
  • Assist with all ticket requests from actors, SMs, creatives, crew, and company management vendors via SalesForce.

 

Travel, Lodging, and Hospitality

  • Under direction of the Company Manager, attend to all travel/transportation arrangements, housing, and hospitality needs for show personnel and Visiting Artists.
  • Assist with the management and upkeep of all actor housing properties in collaboration with landlords and Facilities department, including but not limited to walk-throughs, cleanliness, preventative work, and repairs.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Process and submit receipts and invoices in a timely manner to aid in Company Management financial reporting.
  • Support compliance with Playhouse company policies as outlined in the Playhouse’s Employee Handbook.
  • Respond to emergency or off-hour needs for company members in a timely manner.
  • Work any events as may be required by the Playhouse including but not limited to opening night celebrations, the annual gala fundraiser, monthly cabaret events, press/marketing events, and Development department performances.
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Key Candidate Attributes

  • At least one year of professional work experience, preferably in the theatrical industry.
  • Familiarization with Actors Equity Association contracts.
  • Savvy in Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Flexibility – the world of theater is constantly changing!
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Personable and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when faced with adversity.

 

 

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in the administrative offices of the organization but requires much moving around (with or without reasonable accommodation) as the ACM is often on the move.
  • Evenings and weekends are required.
