MLSN offers adults of all ages affordable educational experiences to promote personal enrichment and to enhance the quality of our community. Since 1938, MLSN’s thought-provoking programs have given area residents opportunities to explore diverse topics ranging from literature, history, fitness, computers and technology, public policy and lifestyle issues as well as the chance to connect with people and places worldwide through local and international travel experiences.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Partnerships is responsible for the development and management of fundraising partnership efforts for Main Line School Night (MLSN).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and executes MLSN’s corporate sponsorship and institutional fundraising plan.
Works with the Director of Development and the MLSN Board development committee to plan and implement fundraising strategy to reach annual goals. - Cultivates and secures financial support and fosters relationships with a wide variety of constituents including current and potential corporate foundations, institutions, and community partners.
- Manages prospect portfolio and gift input into the CRM program and ensures accuracy in gift recording/processing, in coordination with the Finance Director, and the Director of Development.
- Tracks proposals and generates reports for partnership and sponsorship fundraising; writes select grant proposals and issues final reports.
- In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Director, develops and coordinates communications strategy related to fundraising for inclusion in the catalog, newsletter, website, e-blasts and on-site promotions.
- Coordinates with MLSN staff to encourage meaningful engagement with all constituents to help galvanize support for MLSN and reach contributed income goals through sponsorship and partnership development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must connect with the mission of Main Line School Night and believe in the value of building community through shared experiences to improve the quality of life and deepen connections.
- Three to five years of experience in non-profit front-line fundraising, successful management of a portfolio of prospects is a plus. Strategic, creative, analytical thinker who can work independently and as a member of the Team.
- Ability to synthesize information quickly and craft partnership agreements that align with our mission and organizational values. Must be adaptable with ability to problem solve and multitask.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, proficient in Microsoft office and Excel; knowledge of fundraising CRM, with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
