Ceramics Technician

Abington Art Center is seeking a Ceramics Technician to work 3-4 days a week for our busy ceramics program. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a ceramics technician in a community studio or school. Or 5+ years experience as a ceramic artist managing a studio. Preference will be given to candidates with strong ceramics technical skills, familiarity with kiln loading and unloading, as well as knowledge of glaze mixing and materials, firing processes, clay bodies, ceramic studio maintenance and practices.

The American Philosophical Society Library & Museum seeks reliable and friendly Museum Guides to engage, educate, and inform guests in our Museum gallery and through public programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of Philadelphia’s historic celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, located in the heart of Old City right next to Independence Hall.

The exhibition for the 2026 season is These Truths: The Declarations of Independence, which runs from April 10, 2026 to January 3, 2027. This exhibition explores how Americans used, reproduced, and understood the Declaration during the first fifty years of its history. Featuring rare printings of the Declaration, along with other manuscripts, paintings, letters, and artifacts will be on view for visitors to learn how the document was drafted, printed, and spread across the new nation.
