Philadelphia Theatre Company is looking for a Production Assistant to join the team of the world premiere of The Tattooed Lady. The Production Assistant will work with the production and stage management team and is responsible for providing operational support during pre-production, rehearsals, tech, and previews. Travel and housing will not be provided.

 

DATES: October 18, 2022 - November 04, 2022

BASED IN: Philadelphia, PA

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

●       Be present and report on time to all scheduled and required shifts including but not limited to tech and previews.

●       Provide support in managing rehearsal, working with AEA actors, and support work on the production.

●       Assist and support stage management staff to create and maintain a safe and functional rehearsal room environment, including supply tracking.

●       Support the rehearsal room either in tech in Philadelphia by providing company management support as needed for cast and creatives.

●       Work with Production Management to support director, writers and cast by keeping scripts and scores up to date, printing and collating new pages and changes as needed.

●       Under the direction of Production Management and COVID Compliance Officer, enforce COVID policies and assist with routine COVID testing of people in the rehearsal room.

●       Other duties as assigned.

 

Desirable Skills & Experience:

●       Experience working in theater, performing arts, or a similar field in either a professional or educational setting. Stage Management and/or Run Crew experience is preferred.

●       A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and Access (DEIA), as well as anti-racism.

●       Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work collaboratively within a diverse community.

●       Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

●       Ability to follow directions, work independently and multi-task.

●       Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Dropbox).

●       Adhere to PTC's staff vaccination policy, which includes staying up-to-date on all Covid vaccines and boosters, per CDC guidelines.
