Print Finisher

As part of the Fireball Printing finishing team, you’ll be ensuring the final quality and presentation of our printed materials. You will be responsible for applying the finishing touches to various printed products, such as art prints, art books, event materials, and promotional materials. Your eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finished products will directly contribute to our overall success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Operate finishing equipment, including cutting, trimming, drilling, binding, jogging, coating, laminating and folding machines, to complete the production process according to job specifications

Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet our high standards

Collaborate with the rest of the production team to prioritize and manage workflow efficiently

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and functioning

Assist with packaging and preparing finished products for shipment or pickup

Work with vendors, including shipping, repair, and waste removal companies

Assist with large format printing and projects including printing, mounting, weeding, etc.

Assist customers with pickup of completed jobs

Required Qualifications:

Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for performing repetitive tasks

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Excellent organizational and time management skills

High level of comfort working with machines

Moderate level of aptitude with computers

Basic math skills and ability to read measurements on a ruler

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with various print finishing techniques and equipment

Working Conditions:

The work environment is primarily indoors, within a print shop setting.

The position may require standing or sitting for extended periods and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.

The role may involve working with various printing materials, inks, and adhesives, so attention to safety and proper handling is essential.
