Fringe Festival Assistant Production Manager

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for assisting FringeArts’ Director of Production
and other Production and Front of House staff with ensuring smooth operations for shows
presented by FringeArts on and off site. The Assistant Production Manager works closely with
all production team members and reports directly to FringeArts’ Director of Production.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
● Work with Festival TD and Venue Managers in ensuring smooth rehearsal, tech, and
performance processes
● Assist with transportation of various needs from venue to venue
● Act as a FringeArts representative throughout the duration of the festival
● Assist with festival-wide organization
● Interface with all relevant departments (including Front of House/Box Office, Company
Management, Stage Management, Development, Marketing)
● Provide production support in a variety of departments
● Maintain excellent working relationship with artists and companies
● Assist all Production coworkers in troubleshooting and resolving tasks across all
departments and active venues
● Supervise overhire crews when other supervisors are unavailable
● Participate in load in, load out, and show prep duties as needed
● Relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in theatre operations, stage management, or production
management; troubleshooting/creative problem solving; strong leadership skills; excellent verbal
and written communication skills. Experience in other technical departments (i.e. scenic,
lighting, sound), working with international artists, and touring companies is a plus.
Dates: August 18 - October 4, 2025
Workweeks vary from 8-16 hours during pre-/post-production and 30-45 hours during Festival
weeks
Compensation: $5400 stipend
