Communications and Audience Engagement Manager

Walnut Street Theatre, America's Oldest Theatre, seeks a Communications and Audience Engagement Manager. Responsibilities include all aspects of engaging potential audiences to participate in Walnut Street Theatre’s programs and services, including Public Relations: developing and pitching stories about the theatre, its productions, the Theatre School and other events to local and national media; copywriting for all PR, planning and executing social media content on all major platforms, creating Playbill copy and select marketing materials, including news releases, web stories; media advisories; coordinating media interviews and arranging photo shoots.  The position also participates in media buying, signage and events/promotions.  Candidates should have solid experience in PR with excellent written/verbal communications and computer skills.  Graphic design and Photoshop experience a plus.  Competitive salary, up to $50,000, with excellent benefits.
