Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Lead a digital marketing campaign to recruit youth participation for the Lil’ Filmmakers summer partnership program.
  • Promote events, deadlines, and milestones through timely content across social media, email, web, and other digital channels.
  • Collaborate with staff to create mission-aligned and compelling content (graphics, short videos, reels, stories, written posts)of program highlights, student work, behind-the-scenes moments, events, and partner collaborations.

Community Engagement

  • Foster online engagement by responding to comments, DMs, and mentions
  • Highlight participant achievements and share their stories with a broader audience
  • Apply cultural sensitivity and awareness to storytelling, ensuring content reflects and respects the diverse voices, experiences, and identities of youth and community members

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze performance data to refine strategy and improve audience reach and engagement.
  • Maintain a content calendar and share weekly updates on campaign progress, performance metrics, and audience insights.
  • Maintain organized digital content and file libraries for team access.

Brand Management

  • Ensure all content aligns with Lil’ Filmmakers’ visual identity and voice—and is consistent, inclusive, and inspiring across all platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Advertising, or a related field OR 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, content creation, or communications.
  • Additional certifications in digital marketing tools, analytics, or platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Meta Blueprint) are a plus.
  • Proficient in managing content and engagement across major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Experienced with use of digital tools such as Canva, Mailchimp (or similar), Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, social media and analytics tools and basic content scheduling platforms.
  • Strong written and visual communication skills with a storytelling-driven approach.
  • Film and media culture enthusiasts preferred. Experience with youth programs, arts/media, or nonprofit marketing is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently, meeting weekly goals, and communicating clearly in a remote and collaborative environment.

  • Marketing Campaign - Email blast, newsletter, ad or promo material for recruitment, events that you wrote and designed.
  • Performance Snapshot - Snapshot showing results for online content you’ve created (likes, shares, clicks, signups, etc.) 
  • Graphic or Visual Samples - Flyers, digital graphics, branded visuals created in Canva, Adobe Express, etc. for Instagram Stories or event promotions
  • Storytelling Piece or Impact Post - a social post, article, or blog that tells a compelling story about a person, program, or event
  • Short video clip or highlight reel you’ve scripted, edited, or helped produce
