Volunteer and Community Outreach Manager

This is a full-time salaried position with a benefits package that includes vacation, health, dental, vision and retirement; position reports to the Director of Communications. The salary range for this role is $37,000 - $50,000 per year.

This is a hybrid position with a typical schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home. All employees are welcome to work from the office five days a week if preferred.

Our Public Engagement Representatives are part of a dynamic team whose goal is to greet and interact with Museum guests. Individuals in this position are responsible for selling tickets to the museum, historic ships, and boat rentals, assisting customers in the Museum Store, as well as occasionally assisting with the waterfront and public programming all while making customer service the highest priority. This is a part time seasonal position. 

The Nelly Berman School of Music in Haverford, PA has an opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant, who will work closely with the School Director in a fast-paced and energetic environment to use social media to promote the school, as well as our programs and special concerts, update the school website, and create promotional materials such as fliers, brochures, etc. You may also help in the office with some scheduling and customer service for students and families. The applicant should have strong computer skills and interest in promoting quality music education.

The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance seeks several surveyors to assist with surveying of arts and culture audiences through May 2023.

Surveyors will help to gather key data points (how much audiences spend, why they’re attending events, demographic information etc.) from audiences at arts and culture events in Greater Philadelphia. Data collected throughout this year will play an essential role in a nationwide research effort led by Americans for the Arts. Arts and culture organizations depend on that research, which is only possible through the work of the surveyors, to inform programming, operations, and most importantly, to secure funding for the vital work that they do.

Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site (ESPHS) seeks outgoing, engaging and passionate people for the position of Night Tours Educator. This position greets and directs visitors and supports hands-on programming that encourages reflection on the penitentiary's history and legacy of criminal justice reform. Activities and tours aim to prompt conversation on issues of justice today.

Glen Foerd seeks an energetic On-Water Program Coordinator to support its environmental programs. The On-Water Program Coordinator will directly manage the kayaking and other on-water programs, and in conjunction with the Environmental Program Manager, will oversee, schedule and help train seasonal employees as well. This full-time, year-round position will report to the Environmental Program Manager. 

Glen Foerd is seeking a Seasonal, Part-Time Event Supervisor to oversee the historic property during private, catered events and to provide oversight of all Visitor Services Assistants (VSA’s). The Event Supervisor will report to the Business Manager.   More details on work hours can be found below.

The Event Supervisor handles all issues with the facility that may arise during the event. At the end of the night, the Event Supervisor locks up and ensures that the mansion and grounds are closed. Because the Event Supervisor is the only Glen Foerd staff on-site during evening events, he/she must be reliable, independent, and have a strong attention to detail. As the manager on-site, the Event Supervisor ensures that the rental client, catering staff and all third-party vendors always adhere to Glen Foerd’s policies and procedures, including clean-up and noise level requirements. As such, Event Supervisors must be self-confident and comfortable addressing issues directly.  

The Box Office Supervisor is a part-time position (approximately 15-30 hours per week) and is responsible for providing excellent customer service and fostering a professional atmosphere within the Box Office. The position will be required to manage the box office during show times on a rotational basis.
