Visitor Experience Assistants (VEAs) welcome visitors to the Museum and engage with children and families in the exhibits, facilitating positive play-based learning experiences. Visitor Experience Assistants provide customer service throughout the Museum floor through their knowledge of daily programming, Museum exhibits, ticketing/membership offerings, and wayfinding.

The Horticulture Apprenticeship is designed to prepare individuals with a strong passion for plants and their care for a career in public gardens. Working with a team of horticultural experts, Apprentices receive hands-on training in all aspects of garden management and care of the living collections, with specific emphasis placed on refining a wide range of practical horticulture skills.
The Adult Education Apprentice is an integral part of the team that develops and delivers educational programming for professionals, adults, families, and children. The apprentice works with staff to plan and deliver over 150 fee-based classes annually with over 3,000 registrants of all ages.
The Youth and Visitor Education Apprentice is an integral part of the Education team, which develops and delivers educational programs for professionals, adults, families, and children. The apprentice works with staff to direct the activities of education volunteers, which include training, workshop planning, and program support.
Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO), the Coordinator, Donor Services is responsible for the overall coordination, and management of the Development offices donor/prospect data base. This includes data entry, gift entry, reports, data base clean up, mailings to donors dependent on pledge reminders, and coordination of direct mail solicitations.

The Accounting Assistant is an entry-level position in the organization’s Finance team that supports Finance team members with routine administrative and basic accounting tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the Finance team’s Contract and Administration Manager by reviewing vendor support documentation for completeness to ensure they meet vendor invoicing requirements. Supported program include PHS’s Workforce Development and Landcare programs, and others, as needed.
