Position Description:

The Education Programs Coordinator will primarily support the Education Programs team in the coordination and administration of education programs and will be responsive to the needs of the projects and programs. Programs include a range of models including local and national networks, a variety of audiences including community partners and museums, and short-term and ongoing programs. This role will secondarily support the Youth Programs team’s logistics and operations.

 

The Education Programs Coordinator will: 

Supervise all departmental staff members and assist with any job function when needed

Facilitate the execution of contracts, purchase orders, check requests, and invoices for program participants and Professional Development attendees

Coordinate virtual and in-person program trainings and events including reserving rooms and scheduling Zoom meetings, provide day-of technical support, order event supplies and food, and support day-of logistics

Maintain shared department calendars and oversee calendar holds for program events, including scheduling external meetings in Teams and Zoom

Liaise with ticketing, finance, and other relevant Franklin Institute departments on program execution details, including supporting museum access and field trips to The Franklin Institute

Support website maintenance, including updating approved public facing copy and creating accounts for program participants, as well as the Educator Resource Portal

Support program logistics of materials management and drop-shipment of supplies from fulfillment companies

 Support program messaging systems and data management

Support ongoing program and team operations as needed

 

Position Requirements

Two (2) years of experience performing administrative duties in a professional setting

Strong collaboration skills and comfortable in a team environment

Ability to adhere to rigorous deadlines and prioritize responsibilities

Must be detail-oriented and proactive, with strong organizational skills

Experience in grant-funded program administration is preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and Google Forms preferred

Status: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday).
