Study finds combined economic impact of $3.3 Billion from Southeastern Pennsylvania’s Arts & Culture Sector

Arts, Culture & Economic Prosperity: Greater Philadelphia is an economic and social impact study of the Greater Philadelphia region’s nonprofit arts and culture industry. More than 500 arts and culture organizations participated in the research and over 1,000 individuals completed the Americans for the Arts and Economic Prosperity (AEP) survey while attending a performance, event, exhibit or while visiting a cultural event or facility in the Greater Philadelphia Region during the period from May 2022 through June 2023.

PA CultureCheck is an annual statewide survey created by PA Humanities and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance to gather the voices and interests of cultural, arts, and humanities organizations, along with other nonprofits, community organizations, and businesses doing work in this space.

Greater Philadelphia Cultural Recovery & Regrowth Survey

In mid-2022, the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, PA Humanities, and their partners conducted the Cultural Recovery & Regrowth Survey exploring COVID-19’s impact on the cultural sector and how organizations are supporting recovery and growth. 142 organizations participated from the five counties of southeastern Pennsylvania (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia).
