Position Overview:
The Box Office Associate plays a vital service and hospitality role at an exciting moment of evolution for People’s Light. Reporting to the Box Office Manager and working within our dynamic marketing department, this position supports revenue generation and enhances the patron experience. Responsibilities include providing phone and email support for ticket sales, upselling subscriptions and packages, and collaborating across departments to advance our mission.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position, averaging approximately 32 hours per week. Evening and weekend work is required to support our vibrant performance schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a secondary Box Office attendant focused on sales, patron service, and hospitality
- Utilize Tessitura/TNEW platform to sell and upsell tickets, subscriptions, events, and Farmhouse happenings
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to support artistic, sales, fundraising, community outreach, and Farmhouse initiatives
- Support Box Office Manager in all Box Office operations
- Manage AirTable and comp ticket requests, and assist with seating for Opening Night
- Attend weekly marketing team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a performing arts Box Office environment
- Proficiency with Tessitura/TNEW ticketing systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and represent People’s Light professionally to all stakeholders
