Glen Foerd seeks energetic, outgoing individuals to assist with our summer kayaking programs on a part-time, seasonal basis. On-Water Kayaking Assistants will aid with 2-hour excursions on the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River. Excursions run Saturdays and Sundays, depending on the tides, beginning in mid-May through mid-October. Assistants may also act as a chase boat driver when not assisting on the trip via kayak. This is a part-time, seasonal position that reports to the Environmental Program Manager, Environmental and On-Water Program Coordinator/Educator, and works collaboratively with all Glen Foerd staff and volunteers.

The EJC Project Manager works in partnership with the Executive Director, and in coordination with the Community Liaison Lead, to advance the work of the Foundation/EJC through the planning, budgeting, tracking, coordination, oversight and implementation of EJC Virtual Hub goals and tactics. The Project Manager will drive planning, tracking and completion of all EJC related activities and deliverables. Glen Foerd seeks a fulltime Facilities Manager and Site Caretaker. A rent-free 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom historic house is included as part of the salary package.

 

Facilities Manager (FM) performs skilled maintenance, repair, and minor construction work to ensure that the 1850’s Glen Foerd historic site and buildings are properly maintained and meet preservation standards. Responsible for total property maintenance and oversight as well as identifying and planning work. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, mechanical, alarm responses, fire and life safety and keys/security systems. In addition to hands-on maintenance, FM identifies repair and maintenance projects requiring the assistance of contractors or vendors; participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs; monitors work of vendors or contractors; assists in the review of construction or remodel plans to assure compliance with preservation maintenance standards.
