Museum Educators (MEs) work closely with museum staff and collaborate with each other to design and edit curricula, lead tours, and facilitate programming both on and off-site that aligns with DelArt’s education goals. Along with these primary responsibilities, MEs can gain added opportunities and exposure to the museum field by contributing to special projects, partnerships, and public programs in the Art & Learning Department. This program seeks applicants who are looking to build a foundation for a career in museums, whether they are recent graduates, taking a gap year, or newly entering the museum field.

  • Collaborating with other Museum Educators and Art & Learning staff to create curriculums for our rotating special exhibitions and continuing to revise and edit current curriculums
  • Participating in weekly “in-service” days, including updating and maintaining tour aids, engaging with fellow Museum Educators and Museum staff, and other tasks as assigned
  • Supporting on-site events including “Teacher Appreciation Night" and student art shows (typically 5 to 6 evenings per year)
