Awards
The SMA honors two individuals at every conference with the Hunter-Burley Award and the Small Museum Association Award. Nominations are being accepted for the 2010 Small Museum Association Awards through December 15, 2009.

Scholarships
The SMA also offers 10 Lesley Van der Lee scholarships for new attendees.
Small Museum Association Lesley van der Lee Conference Scholarships are being accepted through December 15, 2010.
The SMA Annual Conference Scholarship has been established to offer funding for ten SMA Conference attendees. The scholarship will cover the cost of the conference registration, room, meals and a one-year membership in the SMA. Anyone affiliated with a museum, library, historical society, or related graduate study program (e.g. Museum Studies, Public History, Library and Information Studies, Historic Preservation) may apply. Carole Hass Gravagno is an active board member of 12 organizations, including the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Arden Theatre Company, and the Please Touch Museum. Carole was born in Philadelphia and is a long time and active philanthropist. In addition, she has previously served on a large list of boards including Temple University, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the William Penn Foundation. Carole has also taught at many local colleges, and holds an M.Ed. from Temple.

2010 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange
The Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange is an initiative of the Economy League to develop leaders of business, civic, and government organizations into visionaries dedicated to making Greater Philadelphia a world class region.
Through in-region programming and out-of-region learning visits, the Leadership Exchange exposes leaders to best practices, forges new connections across sectors and industries, and deepens participants’ understanding of Greater Philadelphia’s potential.
Participation in the Leadership Exchange is a competitive process with a goal of representing the geographic, demographic, sector, and industry diversity in the region. To be eligible, applicants must live and/or work in the Greater Philadelphia region and serve in a leadership role in a business, nonprofit, or government organization.
The 2010 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange will culminate in a learning visit to the Bay Area & Silicon Valley September 13 to 15, 2010.
