Deena Weems Thornton graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Communications, concentrating in Public Relations. Deena has 15 years of experience planning various events and fundraisers, and has served as Special Events Coordinator at Philadelphia College and is currently the Director of Development for a local non-profit. In 2001, 2006, 2008 and 2009, she was named one of Philadelphia's Most Influential African American Leaders by a leading Philadelphia magazine.
