SUMMARY

The Director of Philanthropy is a key member of the leadership team of Opera Philadelphia’s (OP) Philanthropy Department responsible for a comprehensive program focusing on maximizing contributed support from Individuals—both existing and new.

The Director of Philanthropy will manage special major gift initiatives as needed and work with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to manage underwriting opportunities for mainstage artists, creative teams, productions, and community programs at the $25,000 level and above. 

SUMMARY

The Associate Director of Individual Giving is a key member of the Opera Philadelphia (OP) Philanthropy team, responsible for managing donor retention and acquisition efforts, renewal processes, and the Individual Giving end-of-calendar year and end-of-fiscal year campaigns. The Associate Director of Individual Giving manages an active portfolio of 100+ individual donors, with annual gifts ranging from $100 to $5,000.

This role works closely with the Camp Director to implement programming, supervise staff, oversee the Creative Internship Training (CIT) program and aftercare, ensure camper safety, and maintain strong communication with families. The position begins part-time in spring for pre-camp planning and transitions to full-time during the 8-week summer camp season. This is an ideal role for a creative, dependable, and enthusiastic youth-program professional passionate about arts
education and community engagement.
