Dancehall 101 - Learning Culture Through Dance & Movement

What is Dancehall? Dancehall hails straight from the islands of Jamaican often associated with the type of music, heavy beats, flowing rhythms' and lyrics that can seduce you to wine your hips and move your feet. Dancehall dance is the street dance of the Jamaica locals, a style based solely on creativity, expression, style, fun, and the willingness to free yourself and let the music take you away. The style can be seen in videos by artist such as Beyonce, Rihanna, and M.I.A. Come learn to wine up your body and escape to the islands in Dancehall Dance/Sweat.

The New and Improved Nonprofit Annual Report- Webinar

Your donors want to see some results before they'll give again. And you know that producing an annual report is a nonprofit management best practice. But that doesn't mean you have to write and design a 20+ page tome. In fact, many donors say they'd prefer something much shorter, clearer, and more direct. They much rather see one of several print and online formats that we consider the new and improved nonprofit annual report.

During the webinar, we'll cover the basics of good nonprofit annual reports, including what to emphasize and what to leave out.

We'll go over the critical differences between activities and accomplishments and cover the most frequently asked questions about common annual report sections like the letter from the director, the financial section, and donor lists - and whether you need them at all in your report.

But best of all, we'll talk about how to share your accomplishments in ways your supporters both understand and appreciate in short formats that are easy to create both offline and online.

Don't waste your donor's time or yours.

Instead, use one of the quickie annual report formats we'll show you during this webinar. These formats are so easy, you can use them throughout the year as progress reports!

Kivi Leroux Miller, president of Nonprofit Marketing Guide.com, will teach this webinar.

Writing Thank Yous the Inspire Future Gifts

Research proves that thank-you letters are incredibly important in turning a first-time donor into a life-long giver. Donors want much more than an acknowledgement and receipt. They want to know how you used the gift and that they are a genuine part of your success.

During this webinar, we'll look at several typical thank-you letters that just don't cut it (you've probably received ones like this yourself, and maybe even sent some like them!).

We'll look at ways to improve them so that they graciously thank the donor, while also taking the necessary steps to start a long-term relationship with that supporter. We'll look at great thank-you notes for a variety of situations that nonprofit staff encounter daily, from first and repeat donors to event and corporate sponsorships.

We'll also touch on how often to say "Thank you!" and other ways to show your gratitude to your supporters.

You'll leave with an understanding of what goes into a great thank-you letter and several outlines you can use in your work immediately.

Kivi Leroux Miller, president of Nonprofit Marketing Guide.com, will present this webinar.

Trends for the New Year Marketing Plan

What trends will nonprofit marketers contend with in 2012? What should you be doing differently in 2012 than 2011, and what should you do the same? What will your nonprofit friends down the street or across the country focus on?

During this webinar, we'll tackle all of these questions and more as we discuss what to expect in 2012.

We'll take a look at what nonprofit marketing pros and the big consumer and business trendspotters are projecting for the coming year (Kivi will read all of those blog posts so you don't have to!).

You'll also be the first to see the results of the 2012 Nonprofit Communications Trends Report, which will be released after the webinar. Last y ear's survey included responses from more than 800 nonprofits, and we expect this year's to be even bigger.

Kivi will also share what she believes will be keys to success for nonprofit communicators in 2012.

Join us for the conversation to discover ways to tweak your current marketing plan to make it even more relevant for your organization and your supporters in 2012.
