Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts Programs
The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds through the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA), which is a regionalized funding program of the PCA. A total of thirteen local organizations administer PPA and serve all 67 counties in Pennsylvania by re-granting funds to support a wide variety of local and community arts activities. Since the implementation of PPA in 1997, the PCA has been able to steadily expand the availability of government support for arts projects to many new communities. By providing local administration, technical support and a streamlined application process, PPA has created unprecedented access to state arts funding.
The PPA goals include:
- Expanding constituent access to the arts by (a) making arts programs available to communities that may have been underserved in the past by state arts funding and (b) supporting a wide variety of local and community arts activities;
- Encouraging and supporting local decision-making in the re-granting of state arts dollars;
- Increasing awareness of and advocacy for government support and funding of the arts at the local and state level
- Enabling the PCA to provide increased assistance to its broad constituency throughout the state.
In partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), the Cultural Alliance administers three grant programs.
Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator - a program that provides creative entrepreneurs who aspire to start their own for-profit business or who operate an existing for-profit micro business with access to existing small business consulting services and financial resources.
Entry to Program Stream - a pathway for small organizations with consistent arts programming to receive general operating support with the aim of eventually qualifying for Program Stream.
Program Stream - a program that provides ongoing, general operating support to arts organizations that have a history of funding from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. This application is available by invitation only.
The Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator, Entry to Program Stream, and Program Stream grants initiatives are funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA), a state agency under the Office of the Governor, and administered regionally by the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA), PCA’s statewide network of re-granting partners. The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance serves as the PCA’s PPA partner organization for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
