The Marketing Intern has the unique role of assisting BalletX’s Marketing & PR Specialist and the opportunity to learn the inner workings of a small non-profit performing arts organization in Philadelphia. The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day departmental tasks as well as assisting with company events. The perfect candidate will be proactive and eager to learn more about representing a growing performing arts company.
Duties include:
Digital Materials

Website monitoring for accuracy and up-to-date content

Set up and populate eblasts and newsletters with basic structure, titling, and appropriate content

Upload photos and copy to calendar listings

Research and add new calendar listings
-
Social Media set up, posts, and review
Press, Touring and Advertising
-
Press list: research/update new press contacts each series as turnover occurs
-
Press cultivation: research new blogs and publications to add to contact list
-
Assist in fulfilling requests for photos, interviews, and other content and updates
-
Ensure BalletX is represented accurately online
-
Help review advertiser solicitations for cost effectiveness and market relevance
Events and Ticketing

General event management: preparations, guest relations, presentation

Maintain postcard and brochure inventory for special events

Manage press table: display, welcome press, distribute press packets and tickets
Other
-
Distribute print materials at locations around Philadelphia
Qualifications
-
Computer literacy, data entry experience, general office skills
-
Outstanding customer service and people skills
-
Ability to work some weekend and evening hours

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
-
Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, and Salesforce preferred, but not required
