Kate (she/her) works with the fundraising team as Director of Development & Board Liaison and is responsible for managing institutional fundraising, building relationships with individual donors, and overseeing board activities. Before joining the Cultural Alliance team, Kate was the External Affairs Manager at The Philly POPS. Prior to moving to Philadelphia, Kate lived in Boston and volunteered with MassCreative, Massachusetts' state-wide arts advocacy organization, on their Leadership Council. Kate has a Bachelor's degree in Music from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and a Master's degree in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths, University of London. In addition to being Director of Development & Board Liaison, Kate plays clarinet with the Philadelphia Freedom Band and enjoys listening to live music, running, and hanging out with her cats.
B.J. Tindal works with the Creative Youth Development team to support and recruit students for the Bloomberg Internship Program as Creative Youth Development Manager. Before joining the Cultural Alliance team, B.J. was a Resident Teaching Artist at Philadelphia Young Playwrights. B.J. earned his MFA in Writing for the Screen + Stage at Northwestern University. B.J. 's pronouns are they/them. When they are not working, they enjoy writing, walking, playing 2 video games, and eating lots of sour candy.
Kabria Rogers works with the Audience Engagement team to develop leadership, project management and audience building skills in a wide range of activities, including managing sales for the various programs, developing marketing strategies, and leading audience-building initiatives as Audience Services Manager. Before joining the Cultural Alliance team, Kabria was their Interim Operations Manager for Science History Conference Center. Kabria has a Bachelor’s Degree in English Writing from Kings College. She enjoys reading, writing, daydreaming about superhero adventures and spending quality time with friends and family.
Lauren (she/her/hers) works closely with the President and Chief Officer for Finance & Administration as part of the Administrative team to oversee the Membership Program, DEI & Anti-Racism work, Job Bank and keep things running smoothly around the office as Director of Member Engagement & Administration. Before joining the Cultural Alliance team, Lauren was Assistant Director of Admission at Westminster Choir College. Lauren has a Bachelor’s in Music Education and a Master’s in Voice Pedagogy and Performance. In addition to being Director of Member Engagement & Administration, Lauren volunteers with different arts organizations around the city and enjoys reading, traveling and her yoga practice.
Roberta (she/her/hers) has a Bachelor’s in Crime, Law, and Justice with a minor in Art History and a Master’s in Arts Administration. As Vice President of Audience Engagement, Roberta oversees the Cultural Alliance’s marketing programs, including the Phillyfunguide, its discount-ticketing program, Funsavers, as well as the Cultural Alliance’s audiences building research initiatives. Prior to joining the Cultural Alliance team, Roberta was a branch coordinator for Settlement Music School. In addition to being Vice President of Audience Engagement, Roberta enjoys knitting, reading, volunteering and is a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Pennsylvania Chapter.
Frances joined the Cultural Alliance in 2016 as the Digital Content Coordinator and became the Assistant Manager of Digital Marketing in 2017 as a part of the Audience Engagement team. She manages the Funsuite (the Phillyfunguide and Funsavers programs), and handles all customer service, digital content creation and inquiry for both programs, building all Funsavers offers and weekly emails and soliciting organizations to submit events for both.
Frances received her B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and Professional Writing in 2015 from Chestnut Hill College. In one of her many past lives, she has written for the Chestnut Hill College Magazine and Philadelphia Weekly. In addition to running the Funsuite, Frances enjoys aerial acrobatics, cooking, gardening and snuggle time with her cat.
Kristen (she/her) studied Journalism at Temple University. As Senior Manager of Data and Communications, Kristen manages survey design and data analysis for research about our members and the cultural community and oversees external communications to our members, advocates and the broader cultural community. Prior to joining the Cultural Alliance team in 2015, Kristen was a reporter for Generocity. Kristen is an avid knitter, enjoys running and reading.
Kelli Paul works with the fundraising team as Vice President of Development and is responsible for meeting the Cultural Alliance’s annual contributed revenue goals and manages all support from foundations, corporations, individuals and the government. Before joining the Cultural Alliance team, Kelli worked as the Development and Marketing Manager for The Philadelphia Singers. She holds an MS in Arts Administration from Drexel University and a BS in Dance/Business from Eastern University. Kelli is the co-founder of Emerging Arts Leaders: Philadelphia and serves on the steering committee for the Philadelphia chapter of Women in Development and as a panelist for the Philadelphia Cultural Fund. She has also served on the Next Generation committee of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and as Board President of Ballet 180. She was a 2017 Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange delegate and part of the 2014 Designing Leadership class by the Arts and Business Council of Greater Philadelphia.
