Amy Blumberg

Amy Blumberg holds an MFA in Theater Directing from Temple University and is now part of the Bloomberg Arts Internship team as the Internship Manager. Before joining the Cultural Alliance team, Amy was a graduate student and theater director. In addition to being the Internship Manager for the Bloomberg Arts Internship, Amy enjoys biking around Philadelphia, playing with dogs, and making art.

Lauren Gilmore

Lauren joined the Cultural Alliance in July of 2018 as the Manager of Membership & Administration. She oversees the Membership Program, Job Bank and works closely with the President and Chief Officer for Finance & Administration to keep things running smoothly around the office. Prior to starting with the Cultural Alliance, Lauren worked at Westminster Choir College where she also graduated with her Master in Music in Voice Pedagogy & Performance. When not in the office, Lauren enjoys volunteering with arts and cultural organizations across Philadelphia and serving on the Executive Board of Emerging Arts Leaders: Philadelphia.

Christine Dancey

Christine Dancey joined the Alliance in April 2018 and is responsible for managing, cultivating, and recruiting advertisement for the Phillyfunguide and Funsavers. She is responsible for establishing relationships and marketing strategies with members to increase cultural participation and continuing the Alliance’s work of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the cultural sector through audience marketing services. Christine comes to the Alliance from Team85 Fitness & Wellness center in which she served as  Marketing Director. She also served as a dance teacher at School of Dance Arts, Marketing Coordinator for NextMove Dance, and Leader for The Actors District. Her bachelor in Psychology from Temple University has given her keen insight to audience behavior, which influences her abilities to design creative and effective marketing strategies.

Roberta Johnson

Roberta joined the Cultural Alliance in March of 2018 as Vice President of Audience Engagement. She oversees the various marketing programs such as the Phillyfunguide, the discount-ticketing program, Funsavers, and various audiences building research initiatives. Before starting with the Cultural Alliance, Roberta worked at Settlement Music School as a Branch Coordinator for the Wynnefield location. When not in the office, Roberta enjoys knitting, reading, and volunteering for various social causes. She is a proud member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Pennsylvania Chapter, which she serves as the chair of the arts and culture committee.Roberta joined the Cultural Alliance in March of 2018.

Allison Vanyur

Allie joined the Cultural Alliance in January of 2018 as the Grants & Events Manager. In this role, she administers the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts re-granting program, serves as the museum and Teen Council liaison for STAMP, and plans many of the Alliance’s events including the Annual Meeting. Prior to joining the Cultural Alliance, Allie served as Communications Associate for The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage and as Marketing & Communications Manager for BalletX. Allie received her BS in Entertainment & Arts Management, with a concentration in Dance and a minor in Business Administration, from Drexel University. Allie grew up as a competitive dancer and spent her college years as an active member and choreographer for the Drexel Dance Ensemble. Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and attending live music concerts.

Frances Ellison

Frances joined the Cultural Alliance in 2016 as the Digital Content Coordinator and became the Assistant Manager of Digital Marketing in 2017. She manages the Funsuite (the Phillyfunguide and Funsavers programs), and handles all customer service and inquiry for both as well as overseeing and curating all digital content for both programs, building all Funsavers offers and weekly emails, and soliciting organizations to submit events for both.

Frances received her B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Journalism and Professional Writing in 2015 from Chestnut Hill College. In one of her many past lives, she has written for the Chestnut Hill College Magazine and Philadelphia Weekly.

Taja Jones

Taja joined the Cultural Alliance in 2016 and became the Associate Director of Development & Board Liaison in 2018. Taja assists in the development and implementation of strategies to meet the Cultural Alliance’s income goals through major and individual giving, grant writing, reporting, and corporate sponsorships. Taja also serves as the primary point of contact for the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining the Cultural Alliance, Taja worked as a Reference Assistant at the Presbyterian Historical Society and as a Public Information Intern at WHYY. Taja holds an MS in Museum Leadership from Drexel University, where she was a graduate fellow at the Academy of Natural Sciences, and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of the office, Taja is a fitness enthusiast and member of her condo association’s Board of Directors.

Anne Marie Rhoades

Anne Marie Rhoades joined the Cultural Alliance as the Director of Policy & Community Engagement in October 2015 and is currently the Vice President of Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships. Prior to this, Anne Marie raised money for and ran political campaigns in Philadelphia and throughout the region, most recently serving as the campaign manager for Allan Domb's successful city council primary race. She has also held the role of Operations Director for New Leaders Council-Philadelphia for the 2014-2015 cycle.

Before moving to Philadelphia for the 2012 presidential re-election campaign, Anne Marie worked as the legislative director for Missouri State Representative Jill Schupp (St. Louis County) and as the communications and policy director for Representative Sara Lampe (Springfield). Her background also includes non-profit community coalitions and corporate advertising. A native of Southwest Missouri, Anne Marie has a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising with a concentration in International Comparative Government.

Kristen Vinh

Kristen joined the Cultural Alliance in 2015 as the Community Engagement fellow, and was responsible for advancing the Alliance’s mission and programs through the delivery of programs, services and events related to the Alliance’s grassroots and advocacy engagement initiative, GroundSwell. Kristen became the Strategic Communications Manager in 2017. Kristen graduated from Temple University in 2013 with a degree in journalism and a minor in general business. Outside of the Cultural Alliance, Kristen runs an online magazine about starting ballet as an adult.
