Our Lead Teachers work Monday - Friday, between 3:00 and 6:15 PM. Teachers with weeklong availability are preferred, but those with alternate schedules will also be considered. Additional hours may also be offered to work during our half and full-day camps throughout the year.

The Director of Education is responsible for overseeing the planning and directing all of Fleisher’s educational programs, which include art classes for all ages. The Director works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in all programmatic endeavors.

The Director of Education ensures that Fleisher’s education programs effectively and efficiently align with its mission, to bring the greatest amount of impact to Philadelphia residents who face barriers accessing art education. The Direct of Education is responsible for securing about one-third of Fleisher’s annual operating budget through tuition and fees, and in collaboration with the Associate Director of Youth Education informing, designing, and executing all education programs aimed to deepen student engagement and diversify the organization’s base of stakeholders.

The Director of Education will develop and be held accountable for an annual education programs budget. The Director of Education supervises a team of ambitious, highly-capable staff including the Children and Youth Manager, Adult Education Associate, Community Partnership in the Arts Manager, Education Coordinator, Registrar and Visitor Services Manager They provide support, professional development opportunities, and leadership for the team.

The Director of Education serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting Fleisher.

Under the supervision of Fleisher’s Director of Communications, the Digital Communications Manager collaborates effectively with all departments to help guide Fleisher’s efforts in all communications, with particular focus on social media strategy, graphic design, and departmental communications.

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for managing Fleisher’s social media calendar and content, developing new strategies for campaigns and initiatives to expand reach. Beyond managing content, the Digital Communications Manager also contributes creative content in the form of graphic design, supplemental photography, and video. This position plays a key role in developing efficient systems for organization and collaboration on SharePoint (Microsoft Office365) as well as providing key support in adding quarterly educational and program schedules to Fleisher’s website (in collaboration with the Director of Communications and the Registrar).

Core programs include Community Partnerships in the Arts; Operational programs, CPA Faculty Fellow, Our Stories Partnership and the development of further partnership based programs for youth.

Develop and be held accountable for an annual program budget. Recruit, hire, evaluate, and manage Fleisher’s faculty and provide support to them as they design curricula and teach art courses. Attract, encourage and enlist partner organizations to participate in our programs, and ensure their experience with Fleisher is positive and rewarding for shared stakeholders. Collect and use data to inform your work, and evaluate programming quality, content and personnel, making improvements and changes based on prudent rationale and recognized arts education standards. Know Fleisher’s partners and collaborators well and support their pursuits for creative exploration with Fleisher.
