Position Summary 

The Membership & Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in helping the Cultural Alliance fulfill its mission of leading, strengthening, and amplifying the voices of Philadelphia’s cultural community. This is accomplished through acting as the liaison between the Cultural Alliance and its diverse membership base, including the recruitment and retention of members, serving as the initial point of contact for member inquiries and requests, and organizing events to engage and inform members.  The position is also charged with meeting earned revenue goals by managing the Cultural Alliance’s Job Bank, the execution of advertising strategies and marketing services. 

The Membership & Marketing Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Community Engagement, supporting the Cultural Alliance’s goals to provide valued and impactful services to its members and partners.  

 

Primary Role & Responsibilities 

Membership Support - 50% 

  • Responsible for membership program strategy and execution, including cultivation, recruitment, and engagement 
  • Responsible for meeting goals through membership generated revenue  
  • Respond to all membership inquiries and troubleshoot any services issues  
  • Send regular communications regarding renewal notices, membership benefits,  and services 
  • Manage relationships with organizations which provide member benefits and make connections with members as appropriate 
  • Plan and execute member engagement events and programs, such as quarterly Member Mixers and other events as directed 
  • Participate in community engagement activities to expand membership outreach and impact 
  • Maintain the membership database 
  • Provide timely and regular analytics to measure membership retention and growth, track trends and forecast revenue  

 

Marketing/Sales - 50% 

  • Responsible for meeting earned revenue goals through marketing sales, Job Bank listings, and identifying new opportunities 
  • Manage advertising for the Cultural Alliance’s various channels, including generating, tracking and fulfilling sales leads, cultivating relations to retain clients, and developing sales strategies, as well as generating invoicing and payment collection 
  • Responsible for sales, fulfillment, and growth of the Job Bank, including tracking sales leads, cultivations, and sales strategies 
  • Work closely with Director of Strategic Communications in executing advertising and communication deliverables 
  • Provide benchmark and analytics data to clients of our advertising products 
  • Provide timely and regular analytics to measure client retention and growth, assess marketing strategies, and forecast revenue 

 

Qualifications 

A Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of marketing, sales, and customer service experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience required for this position. The Membership/ Marketing Coordinator must be a self-starter who can work well within a collaborative team dynamic. This individual must possess strong marketing, sales, communication, analytical, and record-keeping skills. A high level of proficiency in attention to detail and commitment to deadlines. Preferred experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM), Drupal and Marketing Cloud (or similar Email Service Providers such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.). 

 

Compensation 

This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $50,000. There is also potential for an annual performance incentive should both membership and marketing revenue exceed goals for the fiscal year. The Cultural Alliance provides a generous benefits package including medical, dental and vision benefits, a 403b plan, short- and long-term disability, and Paid Time Off.   

This is a hybrid remote/in-person position based in Philadelphia.
