We are looking for volunteers with availability Mon-Sat mornings and/or afternoons to support two of our most rapidly-growing and important in-person programs: "ARTZ in the Making" (https://www.artzphilly.org/artz-in-the-making/) and "ARTZ Philly Side-by-Side" (https://www.artzphilly.org/side-by-side/).

The Nakashima Foundation for Peace is a 501(c)3 nonprofit formed in 1986 by George Nakashima, renowned Japanese American architect, woodworker, and leading figure in the 20th century studio craft movement. Originally formed to fulfill George Nakashima’s vision of building Peace Altars around the world, the Foundation has since expanded to preserve and share the Nakashima legacy. The Foundation is based at the George Nakashima Woodworkers campus in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and shares the Nakashima legacy with the world through stewardship, education, cultural exchange, and global peace initiatives such as the Peace Tables.

The Nakashima Foundation for Peace seeks a mission-driven Director to lead the organization into its next chapter. Working closely with the Board President and Board of Directors, the Director will oversee all aspects of the Foundation’s operations, including staff and volunteers, collections and exhibitions, historic properties, financial and administrative management, and external partnerships. The Director will serve as the Foundation’s chief administrator and public ambassador, strengthening donor relationships, institutional collaborations, historic preservation partnerships, and community engagement. The ideal candidate brings nonprofit leadership experience, strong organizational and financial management skills, and a demonstrated commitment to cultural management, historic preservation, and mission-driven public programming.

The Pennsbury Society (501 C 3) at Pennsbury Manor Historic site seeks qualified applicants for our entry level Museum Assistant position.  Duties involve providing school and daily tours, front desk operations, light custodial and office work, and serving as part of a team at this accredited museum. Applicants should have a degree in a related field (such as History or Education) or comparable experience. This position is full-time and paid through the Pennsbury Society. Benefits are included as well as paid vacation and sick leave.

Required duties:

Andalusia is seeking House Guides who enjoy public engagement and have interests in American history, art, and architecture to lead tours of its historic mansion and check in visitors. Located just north of Philadelphia, the house sits on the Delaware River and is surrounded by acres of beautiful gardens. Some experience with tours or public speaking is preferred, but prior knowledge of Andalusia’s history is not required.

ARTZ in the Making is a hands-on art-making program whose mission is to generate community, creativity, and connection. We are seeking trained artist-facilitators who will create opportunities for self-expression via art-making for residents living with dementia in care communities and people living with dementia in their own homes. There may also be opportunities for dementia care pairs (people living with dementia and their care partners) to participate together. Most programs occur monthly at a range of venues across Philadelphia and surrounding counties.

The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County (YOBC) is seeking a Wind Symphony Conductor. The Youth Orchestra of Bucks County (YOBC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Newtown, Pennsylvania. YOBC has been educating 4-12th grade students since 1991. With seven different instrumental ensembles, YOBC serves over 200 students annually.

YOBC’s Wind Symphony ensemble is an intermediate entry-level concert band ensemble. This ensemble is designed for developing wind players as they advance their individual playing and ensemble skills. Most members are in middle school/junior high school. Wind Symphony is the younger of two concert bands in the YOBC Ensemble Program

Noteworthy Philadelphia is seeking an Audio Engineer (Vocal Production & Mixing) to shape the sound of our dynamic vocal ensemble. This role is ideal for an early-career audio engineer, producer, or technically skilled musician eager to develop leadership experience in vocal production, collaborative audio workflows, and music-video-driven projects. You’ll work closely with the executive team to support recorded performances and music videos, transforming multitrack vocal recordings into polished, video-ready audio. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to grow into a leadership role over time. Singers based in the Greater Philadelphia area are encouraged to audition and join the group as performing members, though neither ensemble membership nor local residence are required for this role.

Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA is in search of an Assistant Company Manager. Bucks County Playhouse has become one of the leading regional theaters on the East Coast and is the largest arts organization in Bucks County.  BCP presents a year-round schedule of original productions, featuring stars of the stage and screen, and visiting artists presentations.
