Social Impact Database

Thanks to the support of AARP, the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance is surveying arts and culture organizations across the city of Philadelphia to collect data about their social impact work. This Social Impact Database will give Philadelphia’s government officials a tangible tool to better serve the city’s population. The tool will also raise greater awareness of social impact programming and services by arts and cultural organizations.
Examples of social impact work from arts and culture organizations:
- Initiatives to offer low-cost tickets to cultural institutions to make them affordable and accessible to more community members.
- Presenting programs and workshops for seniors that focus on memory care.
- Community events that promote public safety and spur economic development and artistic collaboration.
The survey is now closed. Results will be released in December 2024.
The database will highlight programs happening in the calendar year 2024. All details that participants share in this survey about their organization and its programming (except individual contact information) will be available on our website. The Cultural Alliance will produce a free report detailing this work, which will be made available to the constituent service desks of City Council and other public agencies.
