Ceramics Technician

Abington Art Center is seeking a Ceramics Technician to work 3-4 days a week for our busy ceramics program. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a ceramics technician in a community studio or school. Or 5+ years experience as a ceramic artist managing a studio. Preference will be given to candidates with strong ceramics technical skills, familiarity with kiln loading and unloading, as well as knowledge of glaze mixing and materials, firing processes, clay bodies, ceramic studio maintenance and practices.

Basic Function: Provides guided tours of Brandywine’s historic properties, as well as the N.C. Wyeth Mural Experience (Apotheosis of the Family), in partnership with the Wyeth Foundation.

Fleisher is seeking a skilled teaching artist with prior teaching experience to lead adult figure and portrait sculpture classes. The ideal candidate is excited to teach those who are new to figure sculpture, guiding students as they build technical skills, explore creative possibilities, and gain confidence in the studio. Classes emphasize a supportive and inclusive learning environment, with faculty providing hands-on instruction, thoughtful feedback, and culturally responsive teaching. Respect for figure models and a commitment to upholding and uplifting Fleisher’s guidelines for working with them are essential. Fleisher is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teaching artist to lead stained glass and mosaic classes for both adults and teenagers. This part-time role includes teaching beginner-level classes, one-time "jumpstart" workshops, and special events that introduce new audiences to the creative possibilities of glass. We’re especially interested in artists who enjoy making art accessible, social, and engaging across age groups.

The Personnel Manager manages all orchestral personnel needs of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra (ASO). Working closely with the Director of Artistic Operations and Music Director, this position is responsible for hiring and coordinating tenured members and substitute/extra musicians for each ASO performance, as well as implementing the organization’s collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with its musicians and running auditions for new members. This position interacts with the Orchestra Committee and is the first point of contact for musician questions and concerns.

The Visitor Experience Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, information, and directions, and promoting an enriching experience for visitors to Philadelphia and the surrounding counties.

This position will be working at the Wanamaker Light Show operating the Visitor Center kiosk.

Hours: 11:30 am – 8:30 pm daily.
