Organizational Overview: Fairmount Park Conservancy brings parks to life. We work with the City of Philadelphia and its communities to steward our parks and nurture our shared environment, cultural resources, and public health. We lead capital projects and historic preservation efforts, foster neighborhood park stewardship, attract and leverage investments, and develop innovative programs throughout the 10,200 acres that include Fairmount Park, six other watershed parks, and more than 130 neighborhood parks and gardens around the city.

Visitor Experience (VE) Associates assist the many guests (over 150,000 a year!) who visit the Morris Arboretum & Gardens, located in Chestnut Hill. VE Associates are the face of the Morris and a vital part of the team, ensuring a memorable, positive experience for our guests. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a world-renowned Arboretum and work with amazing people in a beautiful setting.

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library encompasses an unrivaled museum of American decorative arts in its mansion and galleries and a magnificent 60-acre naturalistic garden—all set on 1,000 gorgeous acres.

The Morris Arboretum & Gardens, which hosts over 100 rental events each year, is seeking a part-time (18 hours per week) Rental Coordinator to assist with all aspects of the Rental Program, including communication, client touring, event prep/support, and administrative tasks.

The development manager plays a critical role at NSNP by researching funding opportunities, building a development plan, overseeing the development of grant proposals, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, managing deadlines, and nurturing relationships with funders. NSNP is seeking someone passionate about raising funds to maintain and grow its organization and continue its mission. 

The Grumblethorpe Farmer Educator is a part-time seasonal role at Grumblethorpe Historic House & Gardens, owned and operated by the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks (PhilaLandmarks).

Primary Function: The horticulture manager is the lead horticulturist supervising day-to-day horticulture planning, operations and the year-round care and maintenance of Calder Gardens landscape and living collections.  The horticulture manager’s responsibilities include all aspects of planning, monitoring, caring for, and reporting on the diverse plantings of herbaceous perennials, trees, shrubs, and hardscape elements, as well as supporting public use of the site along with related events and programs.  Through mentoring, role modeling and expertise in naturalistic planting design and maintenance, the horticulture manager provides leadership to a team of horticulturists, seasonal gardeners, and interns.

Featuring a building conceived by Pritzker Prize-winning architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron and gardens by internationally acclaimed Dutch landscape designer Piet Oudolf, Calder Gardens is dedicated to the art and ideas of Alexander Calder, a native Philadelphian who is considered one of the most innovative and influential artists of the 20th century.  Calder Gardens is scheduled to open in 2025.

The Digital Communications Associate helps to manage and implement all of Heritage Conservancy’s communications and marketing projects, including social media, website content and design, email marketing, multi-media digital content, fundraising efforts, and design work for events and print collateral. The right candidate will have 2 or more years of experience, familiarity with WordPress and Canva, and be excited about our environmental education and conservation work and mission. Applicants should have a solid background in writing, editing, and social media and be able to juggle multiple projects and priorities.

Salary Range:$20.00 To 22.00 Hourly

Position Overview:

 The Accounting Assistant is an entry-level position in the organization’s Finance team that supports Finance team members with routine administrative and basic accounting tasks. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Support the Finance team’s Contract and Administration Manager by reviewing vendor support documentation for completeness to ensure they meet vendor invoicing requirements. Supported program include PHS’s Workforce Development and Landcare programs, and others, as needed.
