2013 Cultural Alliance Salary & Benefits Report
Please join us on Thursday, December 12th at 9:00 am for a presentation of the 2013 Cultural Alliance Salary & Benefits Report.
The 2013 Cultural Alliance Salary & Benefits Report is the first cultural compensation study in the Greater Philadelphia region in over a decade. Working with Gallagher Benefits Services, the Alliance surveyed 145 cultural nonprofits in the region, getting detailed information on compensation, benefits, and overall business confidence.
With this critical report, business leaders, boards and executives can assess their compensation structure relative to sector benchmarks and best practices. The report breaks out salaries and compensation by:
- Discipline
- Organizational budget
- Over four dozen job functions including executive, managerial, development and curatorial and artistic positions
Breakfast and registration begin at 9:00 am with the presentation starting promptly at 9:30 am.
Who Should Attend? Executive directors, human resource professionals, finance and operations leaders are all encouraged to attend. Space is limited to two attendees per organization.

Museums Advocacy Day 2014
Museum supporters from around the country will gather in Washington, DC to bring a unified message to Congress about why museums are essential and how federal policies affect museums.
Do you feel that museums are fully appreciated by policymakers? Are you concerned about political challenges to nonprofits? We’ll make our case for federal funding, federal education policy, charitable giving incentives, and recognition of the economic impact and job creation of museums. The Alliance makes it easy by providing comprehensive policy briefings and scheduling your meetings on Capitol Hill. Alliance members register for free.
Participants include museum directors, staff, volunteers, students, board members, and business owners.
#GivingTuesday for Juvenile In Justice
Juvenile In Justice #GivingTuesday will be an all day event held on December 3, 2013. In its second year, #GivingTuesday (following on Black Friday and Cyber Monday) is a national community event where companies and individuals are encouraged to donate to important causes. In Philadelphia, social justice, safety and youth are critical challenges, and InLiquid has chosen to dedicate their #GivingTuesday events to empowering our community’s youth with a second chance, while raising awareness of critical reforms needed in the juvenile justice system.
Held at Crane Arts, #GivingTuesday is a day for action and celebration, where our local legal community and youth advocates have a chance to celebrate their commitment to our city and our future.
To cap off a long day of awareness and action, Philadelphia will come together and celebrate the accomplishment of raising national attention around critical reforms needed to the juvenile justice system, giving over 500 youths a second chance, and the general spirit of Giving that our city has for its citizens. Join us for a great evening of drinks, dancing, art, and a juried awards presentation to deserving individuals and local organizations! Each $50.00 evening event ticket will help sponsor a participating youth in our clinic, so register today and help us make this day of Giving a huge success!
