Shut Up & Dance

Shut Up & Dance is an annual one-night-only benefit for MANNA (www.mannapa.org) presented by the dancers of the Pennsylvania Ballet featuring original works choreographed and performed by the dancers in styles ranging from contemporary to classical ballet, hip hop, modern dance and more. Join MANNA this year as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this unique and inspiring experience.

Highlights this year include - inaugural directorship by the esteemed Ian Hussey of the Pennsylvania Ballet; special guest appearances by veterans Brian Sanders, Meredith Rainey, Matt Noonan; pre-party hosted by Steven and Jennifer Korman; and post party with the dancers at the Loews Hotel directly after the show.

MANNA is a nonprofit that prepares and delivers delicious nourishing meals and counsel, empowering those individuals battling HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illness and improving their quality of life. MANNA promotes wellness through nutrition for people at acute nutritional risk living in Easter Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.

The Small Museum Association’s Annual Conference

The Small Museum Association’s Annual Conference will be held in Ocean City, Maryland from February 19-21, 2012.

Entitled Adapt & Reuse: Fresh Ideas and New Approaches, more than two hundred museum professionals, volunteers, students and enthusiasts are expected to attend with many opportunities to network with one another.

Discover how to make the most of what you have from sessions on grantwriting, education, collections care and much more.  The conference, still at a great bargain price for registration and lodging, is wonderful for emerging and experienced museum professionals.  There will also be a Resource Hall with vendors willing to work with you and your institution.  For more information and to register, visit www.smallmuseum.org or email conference@smallmuseum.org.

There are still spaces available for vendors at the conference.  To request information on the Vendor Hall, contact Andrew Zellers-Frederick at 757-220-7466 or email azellers@cwf.org.
