Project Overview
Founder’s Hall Museum at Girard College is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms to serve as a Project Archivist on a 9-month contract basis. The selected contractor will survey, inventory, and begin processing a large collection of archival records related to the history of Girard College.

The Germantown Historical Society is seeking a part-time (15-20 hrs a week) intern to work on a project cataloging its hat collection. The goal of this project is to continue work started by GHS volunteers to inventory, catalog, and re-pack the hats in the historic clothing collection. This project provides the opportunity for a student to get hands-on experience in museum work, from documenting and cataloguing objects to assisting in planning a small exhibition.

The Pharmacy Museum Research Assistant supports the Marvin Samson Museum for the History of Pharmacy’s mission by conducting historical research, researching and cataloging the collection, assisting with exhibit development, and contributing to educational programming related to pharmacy history and practice. This role combines elements of museum work, pharmaceutical knowledge, historical research and scholarly work.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine with historical research in a museum setting, contributing to the preservation and interpretation of pharmacy history for public education and engagement.

This is a part-time position at about 20 hours/week. This position is effective for a one year term.
